Kxpranos pretty enjoyable, but not really all that memorable. I bought this book on a bargain not having any idea who Alex Kapranos was or that Franz Ferdinand is, in fact, a band. He is not a foodie or food critic, but yet he makes food sound so intruiging. Andy Knowles’s drawings are charming, and even though I’m a big fan of ebooks, I love the weight of it in my hands and the texture of the cover. These little essays are tasty little tidbits with a twist. Part travel writing, part food writing, he mixes the typical tour diary with funny, smart, weird food experiences. The order is made. You say that Athens street food is the best in the world. Nice quick read for anyone interested in eating around the world. Having interviewed him once, I can attest to a certain swarmy charm about him that does NOT make it to the page.
