Igraine added it Feb 23, It was quick and easy to read as well as informative. Mencken called Carl Sandburg “indubitably an American in every pulse-beat”. A beautifully envisioned humorous elaboration arithmetid the sweep of an otherwise boring yet most essential subject.
Enjoyed it thoroughly, though I have always been scared of the subject in school. Funny and interesting calculation of arithmetic Marlon marked it as to-read Dec 01, Want to Read saving…. The illustrations are anamorphic, which means they’re distorted to make you look at things differently.

My grandmother had typed a copy for me when I was in grade school, but I lost it.
